The base (female part) is fixed to one of the slats. To adjust the slat orientation, the rod is inserted into the base and then removed once the slats are in the desired position.

How many bases do you need to order?
You need one base per section. For example, if your bioclimatic pergola is made up of 4 independent bays, you will need to order 4 bases.

You will need at least one complete kit (base + rod) to have at least one rod. Bases can be purchased separately. Since the rod is removable, it can be used with multiple bases.
